crochet poppy necklace and crochet headbands

Happy Valentines Day!
I have been very busy past few days branching away from my beaded jewellery a little bit.
I have made this gorgeous three strand necklace with detachable poppy brooch, I was inspired by Marta's (Creativeyarn) gorgeous necklace and this is the result, love the contrast of the red poppy against the dark purple strands.

I have also been doing a bit of researching for my next line of headbands and fell in live with another of Marta's designs, I love the simplicity of it, it looks very chic!

Charlotte loves them, so I made one in her school uniform colours, navy blue!

and there will be no doubt lots more to come, because I just love them!

homesick

I have been searching through the Internet for some photos of home lots lately and have come to the conclusion that I must be very homesick! I'd like to share this link of photographs by this amazing photographer Steve Coleman, his photographs are so full of depth and magic, I get the feeling of actually being there myself. I wish I was there.......

Another showery day and another lovely day at the office/home corner!
I have been putting this off for such a long time but after the whole afternoon in front of the computer screen I have not only ended up with my eyes square but also my new logo banner! Soooo happy.
It hasn't been plain sailing, there were lots of interruptions, like my son working on his first cauliflower ear, little bit of blood, lots of tears...and I just had to watch one of my favourite movies Back to the future...all together a lovely Saturday!

I have also been thinking of home lately, my mum and dad are freezing their socks of with temperatures around -30 degrees celsius, very very very cold!
Everything looks so amazing though!

Happy Monday! Although mine started  rubbish. I let a person I have never met to wind me up  this morning, one of those persons who think the world revolves around them and therefore would cease to exist weren't it for their efforts, yawn.... so I have one thing to say, "some people just need a sympathetic pat.......on the head.............with a hammer!"  lol feel better now ;o)

I have started working on my jewellery and came up with three cute designs.
All the pieces are made using leather cord, selection of wooden, glass, and swarovski beads as well as semi-precious stone and seed beads, the geisha and elephant are Tibetan silver.

Huffy beach cruiser overhaulin'

I love rain, really love rain, but enough is enough! So I have spent today playing with kids, cooking yummy food and crocheting slippers cause my feet were really cold! Nearly finished, tutorial soon!
I did mention we all love to get our hands dirty so today's award for most awesome bike ovehaulin'
goes to Ryan! Picked up rusty old thing  from the rubbish tip for $20, after hours of stripping it to nothing, removing rust and all unnecessary parts, breaks  (just the front ones hahaha), rusty chain, ding dong bell etc, some lubricating, painting and polishing, wheel aligning and road testing, the Huffy beach cruiser looks like a million bucks. See for yourself!
